Development of this logo for The Carolina Textile District included multiple illustrative designs reminiscent of the past. These concepts were narrowed down to the final design, a distilled typographic approach evoking the early 20th century that remains solidly contemporary.
The logo uses two fonts – a Classic Roman was chosen as a display font while a versatile and functional font was chosen for utilitarian purposes.
A simple trademark was developed in the form of a spool for use as an identifier. When possible metallics inks are used for the silver in the logo when going to press.
